Mike began polishing in the late 1970s for Otahuhu Chrome Platers, learning full industrial prep work, multi-stage belting, cutting compounds, the different mops (NZ) not buffing wheels (USA), and mirror finishing. Over the decades he has become one of the few remaining polishers in New Zealand who can assess metal by visual means, and behaviour - skills that are not taught today. His work is trusted by hot rod builders, restorers, engineers, antique dealers and long term clients who rely on his accuracy and honesty.
